Whether you want to work with young people directly or help behind the scenes, there's something for everyone at the 29th Cardiff Scout Group.

See some of the reasons why others volunteer;

I started volunteering with Beavers in September 2021. It’s great to be able to deliver a programme that sees the Young People have fun and learn new skills each week. Scouting has also given me the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and learn and develop new skills of my own, which are transferable within Scouting and beyond. I’m really glad I decided to volunteer. Sian - Beaver Scout Assistant Leader
I’ve been a volunteer with Phoenix Explorers since 2009. The Explorer Unit take part in a wide range of activities every year, with the highlight being a week long camp in August. I really enjoy teaching skills for life and interacting with the Explorers, but also enjoy getting the opportunity to take part in activities myself that I never would have experienced outside of Scouting. Dan – Explorer Scout Leader
I've been a volunteer with the 29th Cardiff for over 15 years and now hold the position of Group Chair. Seeing our young people grow and develop is a joy and we are proud of all their achievements. Volunteering can enhance a CV for our young and older leaders and help build personal skills, teamwork and confidence. Nikki - Group Chair
